Janine Lutfi
A native of Orange County, soprano Janine Lutfi has attended Fullerton Union High School and Fullerton College. She now attends Chapman University as a Vocal Performance Major and studies voice under the esteemed Susan Montgomery. Furthermore, she also has many years of Piano Performance experience and studies piano under the notable composer and pianist, Dr. Ron Anderson at Chapman University.
At Fullerton Union High School, she had roles including “Kate” in Kiss Me Kate (musical) which gave her a Best Actress nomination in the 2017 Spirit of The MACY Awards. She also received nominations for Best Female Vocalist and Best Actress in the Orange County CAPPIE Awards. Her Opera credits include “La Fee” in Massenet’s Cendrillon, “Biancofiore” in Francesca di Rimini, and “Maria” in Maria de Buenos Aires.
In the Spring of 2023, she was awarded First Place for Best Mozart Performance in the Great Composers Competition, an international vocal competition. She has also been awarded Second Place in the Fullerton College Vocal Competition and a Silver Medal in the SCVA Vocal Competition. She has two years of Vocal and Piano teaching under her belt and is excited to continue to share the gift of music with her students.
