Allyson Lee
Allyson is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of California, Irvine. Her experience in piano starts from private piano lessons she took at a young age and continued up until graduation from Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, CA. She participated in Certificate of Merit (CM), completing level PANEL with State Honors and participated in numerous competitions in the Lakewood Cerritos branch. In high school, she accompanied the school’s orchestra, jazz band, and two choirs at festivals and recitals in addition to small group/solo performances with strings and voice. Allyson also self-studied for AP Music Theory, a course not offered at the high school she attended, in 10th grade and passed the test with a 5. Lastly, she performed the first movement of the Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor with the Orange Community Christian Youth Orchestra in the summer after 9th grade. As a college student, Allyson finds her way into practice rooms when she has free time to practice her repertoire and explore new pieces. She also finds fulfilling work being a part-time tutor at Kumon, an afterschool math and reading tutoring program.
